bible study

i went for my first ever bible study with ocf last night.
i'm soo grateful that God had this all planned.
i don't know if He meant for me to be here, in Perth
but He showed me so many signs of His wonderful love for me
opening so many doors
and revealing His love and the glorious works of His hands
everyday as i go about doing my stuff.
God's grace is sufficient.
God's love is amazing.
thank You for loving me.

so anyway, bible study started kinda with informal introductions.
shock #1:
my bible study leader's margy's church mate!
and they kinda grew up together.
i can't believe it.
it was just knowing that we're all kinda related...
whenever i look at debra, i keep getting reminded of shumin and shumin's mum and shumin's aunt and sister... i don't know why... they just have some sort of facial resemblance. (wonder if your reading this shumin! hee)

shock #2:
i sat in this sports car of this guy ming.
he was giving us all a lift to his place.
so anyway, we were talking...
"so judy where are you from?"
"singapore."
"oh so which school were you from, i mean back in singapore?"
"ac"
"OH! Hey! I WAS FROM AC TOO! i mean, acs (i), but they're all... "
"oh, which batch are you from?"
"84"
"oh, do you know my brother, oh wait, you know my brother? nelson goh, acsi vice head?"
"HUH!? you're brother's nelson goh?!"
"er... yah"
"NELSON GOH?"
"erm... yah..."
"NELSON GOHHHHH!?!??!?!?!?! YOU'RE NELSON GOH'S SISTER??"
"er yah, is that bad?"
"HE WAS MY PRIMARY ONE CLASS MONITOR!"
"er, he was? so erm, is that bad?"
"i think i still have the class photo some where at home..."
"er?"
"do you know i met him that night on board that ship in fremantle?"
"HUH?! SO YOU'RE THAT GUY?"
"yeah i'm that guy"
"YOU'RE THAT GUY HE MET ON THE SHIP?!?!?!?!??!"
"yeah!"
gee. what a small world. never thought i'd meet the mysterious frementle ship boy.
hurhurhur.

we got to his place.
a nice labrador retriever greeted us, er, ok we greeted it.
the moment he opened his main door, we all just stood outside and stared.
and we were like your house is so niceee....
and joy and i were like "hotel lobby".
it looks so much like a hotel lobby with chandeliers and posh furniture.
and we walked furthur into his place... and vola. behold. hotel lobby 2.
hee.
so anyway, i got introduced to his parents and his mum was so shocked when she heard i was Nelson Goh's sister... and she still remembers how he looks like and all since primary one.... gee.
dinner was superb!

bible sudy was really good.
we discussed about galatians, and we talked about pretty similar topics and those covered in Serve.
it was such a good reminder and fact refresher.
to remember about Jesus being the ultimate sacriface for us,
that we do not need to kill anymore sheeps and have its blood atone for our sins.
to be able to come before Him in intimacy.
to know that He is the Messiah.
the ones the Jews have been waiting for for all their lives,
and how they rejected Him
and we have the priviledge of accepting Him
since He first loved and accepted us.
how He was the mystery revealed.
and that He is the chief cornerstone.
